The Trader Joe’s Aloe Vera Gelis an amazing and cheap drugstore find.
What makes this product great is the aloe, not necessarily anything groundbreaking one might attribute to Trader Joe’s. But, that’s not a criticism in any way.
This is a basic product in the best sense. It’s inexpensive and it does the job. It’s hydrating, cooling and soothing, smells nice, lasts forever, and its natural and cruelty free.
It’s great for the summer when regular lotions and body butters might feel too heavy and sticky on the skin. It will also provide great relief post-sun tanning and for skin recovering from burns or tattoos. It is fragranced, so it should only be used externally and not to aid the healing of open cuts.

This is an all-purpose, soothing moisturizer that I will continue to repurchase from time to time while making a grocery run. Don’t feel bad if you can’t get a hold of Trader Joe’s products. I suspect most simple aloe formulas will produce similar results.
