Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Moisturizer

The Sheer Transformation moisturizer by Ole Henriksen is an all-around great product.

I had always been very interested in the brand. Sandra’s review of the product is what finally convinced me. She too has sensitive, acne prone skin so her seal of approval is a great endorsement.

This light cream does to dehydrated skin what water does to a dried out sponge. It provides instant relief. In addition to vitamin C, the oil-free formula is composed of licorice root and pea extract. I’m always skeptical about the efficacy of vitamin C in cosmetics. Vitamin C has a rather short shelf life. It’s obvious that Mr. Henriksen and his chemist have their act together because the moisturizer has a shelf life of 6 months. Realistically the cream will be used up long before the efficacy of any of the ingredients wear off.

The pea extracts is full of antioxidants and amino acids which brighten and repair the skin. The licorice root has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. With a multitude of amazing ingredients such as lactic acid, chamomile, and fruit acids this moisturizer is everything you could ever want in a facial cream rolled into one. It’s amazingly gentle, yet effective.

It does tend to have a very slightly moist/tacky finished, but it still manages to work well on it’s own or under makeup. I use it in the morning and in the evening. It performs great under both liquid and powder foundation. My foundation lasts all day and it never looks patchy.
