Mango

Needless to say, I have a deep love for mangoes of all varieties.

Lucky for me, they happen to be abundantly nutritious as well.

They are packed with antioxidants, fiber, vitamins A, B6, C, and E.

Mangoes contain potassium, copper, and magnesium.

Mangoes also contain tartaric, malic, and citric acid. These acids are very alkalizing and can aid in the digestion process.

An added benefit of mangoes is that they are consumed raw, which means their nutritional value will not be minimized through heat and cooking.

Mangoes are equally delicious with seasoning or in their pure form.

They are also equally delectable whether served sweet or savory, like in this delicious raw pasta sauce by Fully Raw Kristina.

I like to always keep a bag of frozen mango chunks in the freezer for added sweetness to any smoothie.

Overall, mangoes pack a lot of nutritional punch!

It doesn’t hurt that they are also so yummy, especially when consumed in season.
